Heartbeet Seiza Stool
Heartbeet Seiza Stool!
I love sitting on the floor. I tend to sit crosslegged, however, if I am without something to lean against, and my posture can quickly digress into uncomfortable knotty things. But I Genuinely love sitting on the floor. It occurred to me one day that my love of Japanese interior design could provide a remedy for my awful spinal alignment and I quickly discovered that kneeling stools are in fact a thing. As a westerner, I find it very difficult to sit in a proper kneeling position (which is easier on my spine) for a prolonged period. But this, this kneeling stool, this Seiza Stool could take the pressure off of my knees and help me get accustomed to kneeling comfortably.
Traditionally, Seiza Stools can be found in meditation halls and the like, but now, you can have one for your own home. Perhaps you enjoy sitting on the ground like I do. Perhaps you actually wish to meditate for long periods of time without stressing your knees. Maybe you just like shiny new objects! Whatever the reason, these fun and fun-to-make Seiza Stools could be your new favorite thing.
And when I say fun to make, I mean I literally giggled the ENTIRE time I was making these.
Maybe it’s cause of the Heartbeet.
I dunno, the idea just Came to me. I was trying to think up a new garden-friendly theme and it just sorta happened.
And then the giggling.
But now you can bestow a little whimsical love on your knees and… and…. It’s just awesome. You know you want one.
And if you don’t know, now you know.
